Review of Toledo from Madrid: compare half-day and full-day options, cathedral visits, tapas lunch, transport, guides, and bilingual tour limits.

“First off, Toledo is gorgeous. Between the churches and their ornate gilt and the beautiful architecture, we had an embarrassment of riches. Our driver Enrique safely transported us, while our guide, our docent, Jorge, performed admirably. His command of history in both English and Spanish was superb. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves history.”

“Our Guide Ben was great. I’m on a solo trip and Ben was so nice, made me feel right at home. We spent just the right amount of time at each stop. The olive oil factory was a highlight for me. The only complaint I have is that the bus didn’t have bathroom, which wasn’t a huge problem since we were never drinking for than 1:45 between stops.”

“Really well organised trip and great guides (Eduardo and Alex) with a lot of things packed in. Maybe some of the elderly members of the group and/or those hard of hearing would have benefited from additional repeated instructions as they missed some key pieces of information. A great day overall. Thanks!”

Hard going at beginning of the trip as I was first one so a lot of stops and swapping and changing travellers at different stops but understand why they do it.. On the plus side they dropped me off right outside my hotel on the return so was very happy with that thank you both xx”

Review of the $48 Madrid day trip to Ávila and Segovia, covering the medieval walls, Roman aqueduct, Alcázar, guides, pace, transport, and value.

“The tour was great, well organized and reasonably priced. It's the first time that we've seen a double-deck tour bus that big, new and fancy, and the driver Juandra was great. Our tour guide, Rodrigo, was very knowledgeable, bilingual, and funny. He provided a lot of interesting details about historical significance of the landmarks. The pace was a little fast for some seniors, and there were hills, but generally good pace for adults. The places we visited were inherently amazing: Segovia with the castle, aqueduct, and cathedral, and Ávila with the ancient walled city and cathedrals. They are well reserved and clean. We definitely recommend the tour.”
