“Supurb. We saw a lot of fish and marine animals, even some turtles. One surfaced just where we were swimming! I had snorkled a lot as a child, but am a lot older and fatter now and found wearing a wet suit difficult (everyone else managed with ease); on top of that, I had a frightening asthma attack when we were out past the reef, but guides Raffaella and Ron handled it (and me) with expertise, told me what to do and kept me safe the enire time. All in all, it was a great experience which I highly recommend. And we have lovely pictures and videos to remember it…”

The three places we visited were interesting and the views whilst touring Timanfaya national park are beautiful with the different colours of the rocks. We also stopped at la Geria winery for some wine tasting. Unfortunately the trip was advertised as 5.5 hours and we were making our way back after 3.5 hours. On the morning we were due to take the tour, the guide (Ossi) contacted us to say that the local government had decided to restrict traffic to Teide by tour vehicles, and offered us a stargazing tour on Mt Teide instead. The tour guide did not inform us that this other tour would be with a much bigger group (c.50 people vs 8) or that most of the tour group would be having dinner at a restaurant where we were obliged to wait for an hour a third of the way up the mountain.
